John Donne remains a wonderful poet from the 16th century, and his work is still use still in today schools. He was born in 157 on Bread Street in London, where he and his two other siblings was raised by his mother( who is the daughter of John Heywood and a relative of Sir Thomas More) only because his father died in 1576 when he was four. Donne grew up to be a Roman Catholic church. By age eleven he was entering the university of Oxford for three years and then after attending Oxford he went to the university of Cambridge and he did not accepted a degree because he did not want to take the Oath of supremacy. According to Luminarian website at Donne throughout his life wrote plays, songs, sonnets and books for the King and queen. On March 1, 164, Donne died leaving the world with his last writing called " Hymn to God, My God, In My Sicknesse He is consider a very successful writer and he is still respected.

In his poem "The Sun Rising" a woman who is cheating on her husband because she is a evil soul. Also throughout this poem this woman is the second main character, who destroys her husband's will to love by being unfaithful and untrustworthy to her husband. With his will not to love the husband did not care about life in general. He didn't care because his wife was his only joy in his life. Stanza by stanza Donne explain the emotions of the husband in the poem.

Starting with the title " The Sun Rising" It is possible that " the sun" in this poem is a girl. The reason why "The Sun Rising" is because the rising of the girl gains all the attentions of the guys . Also, it means how her beauty blinds all the men like the sun blinds us when we look

at it. When she blinds them, the men cannot see how she really is like. The only man that notices her act is her husband, who does not trust her now because she broke his heart. As the title develops, the first stanza opens up the door to the poem.

In the first stanza, John Donne gives details on what the sun (the girl) does to her husband. At first, the husband calls his wife a busy old fool, unruly Sun. In my opinion the woman is the unruly sun because I think that she is cheating on him. The next line, he asks her why she is cheating on him. The fourth line explains Must to thy motions lovers seasons run? It is possible it means she kissed the men and make them cry because when she moves the men follow her, and when she kissed the guys get emotional. The first stanza states that she hurt the feeling of her husband by cheating on him with the king. Furthermore, in the poem it said the king will ride and It is possible that the sun cheats on her husband with the king because she will ride( go out) with the king. Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time, I think it doesnt matter what time, she will always hurt him. The reason why is because it doesnt matter what time, she will always hurt his feeling. She cheats and her husband is really hurt in the first stanza.

To continue, the first stanza opens the idea that she cheats, the second stanza explains his love for her. The first line is Thy beams, so reverend and strong. It is possible in that first line he is expressing his affections for her. He explains that his love for her is strong. Then, after that, he asks her why she did cheat on him by saying Why shouldst thou think? The next few lines in the poem are about how her love blinds him every time he sees her because her beauty is strong and bright. The next three lines in the poem are how he lays with her now, but she is cheating on him with the king. Line 1 mentions the king and how she sees saw him . At the end

of the second stanza, he cannot believe how he is laying with her because she has cheated on him with the king. His feelings are hurt, and he feels he has nothing to live for.

Although, the second stanza talks about how bad he loves her, the third stanza explains how she treats him and how he remains to be nothing to her. the first two lines state she is all states, and all princes I, Nothing else is. It is possible the husband is saying that he is nothing to her because she been with the king. The next four lines It is possible the husband is breaking up with her because he feels that she can be better and he is honoring her by moving on. He still has feelings for her, but she can do much better than him. The last three lines state that she is warming the world. It is that she is leaving her husband, and her brightness is fading away. Then, his house has darken, and he lives unhappily ever after because she is not there to light hiss house up. He remains sad because he gives up on her and life and he wants to die in the dark alone without her.

What I have summaries stands different from what Lummarian website illustrates. According to Lummarian website, the story is about the sun that wakes a man up and ruins his day by making him go to work instead of sleeping. For example in the poem the man is calling the sun like a fool . In the second stanza, he talks about his wife, who is irritating to look at. The man's wife isnt ugly, but she stands annoying because she nags in the morning. Furthermore in the third stanza, the sun is going down. He mentions that the sun needs a rest, so he can sleep. From what I thought, the poem means that it is different from the summary on Lummarian website.

What I thought the poem meant was totality different from what Lummarian website meant. My opinion was the sun was the woman and the husband was blinded by the sun. The

husband was harmed by his wife because she cheated on him. He became depressed over the fact that she cheated on him with the king. He felt ashamed and he went into a dark place where he was left into the pastured. On the Lummarian website the poem was different because they have a man yelling at the sun for waking him up. He was also mad at the sun because it woke up his wife, who is making him angry. The description of the poem are different but similar because the sun was causing problems. But what I thought the poem was about could mean the same as the man yelling at the sun.
