On August nd, 00, thirty of our close friends met at Walnut Acres, in Monticello, Iowa. We loaded the fifteen coolers on the bus and then we all piled in. The bus trip is what most would probably refer to as out of control. Upon our arrival at Appleby we unloaded the bus and headed up to the main office, where we would sign our lives away. Everyone then grabbed their tube and life jacket and headed down to where we would put the tubes in. While standing on the rocky shore, three of us decided to tie our tubes together that way we wouldn't drift away and also we would have easy access to a cooler. That didn't work out like we planned. After realizing that all thirty of us were somehow linked together, we had to think of a strategy to get everyone in the water. After pondering for about ten minutes we finally got our tubes in the water and our journey began.
